Dominic Fritz, the president of the USR and the mayor of Timisoara, said on Wednesday that “Marius Pieleanu must be suspended immediately from education and quarantine in the public space”, in the context of the investigation in which Snoop presented the testimonies of women who talk about the sexual abuse of the sociology – which he denies.

“Who is accused of having sexually harassed and assaulted students cannot stay as a university professor and appear on TV as if nothing has happened. Marius Pieleanu must be suspended immediately from education and quarantine in the public space,” Dominic Fritz said on Wednesday.

“Must respond to justice”

The USR leader claimed that Marius Pieleanu, “protected, as it seems, by a network of complicity”, is still “at the chair and on the screens”.

“It is scandalous, according to the public testimonies of many victims who talk about years of repeated abuses, fear and silence. And about a system that abandoned them. Marius Pieleanu has to respond to justice, where he enjoys the presumption of innocence. But until then, we have a duty to act preventively and to protect the victims.”

What did Remus Pricopie and SNSPA say

The USR leader believes that “a firm reaction” is required from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA).

“There is a need for a firm reaction of the institution where he is professing, a serious internal investigation and the immediate suspension, if you do not self-suspend. Fritz.

He believes that “zero tolerance to sexual harassment must become a rule.”

“It is a moral hygiene that the public space needs.

On Wednesday, one day after the SNOOP investigation, SNSPA announced that it has sent a request to the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice to find out, among others, if “a criminal case has been set up or will be set to clarify the accusations.”
