A resident of Krasnoyarsk will be judged for the theft of 50 thousand rubles by a fraud: under the pretext of meeting graduates and theft of a wallet.
The prosecutor’s office was told about the circumstances of the case. It was established that in February 2024, a 27-year-old man experiencing financial difficulties decided to correct his affairs at the expense of former classmates. He informed them about the organization of a meeting of graduates and created a chat on VKontakte, where he added school friends.
“In active discussion, the participants chose the date of the meeting – the summer of 2024 and the place – a restaurant. As the initiator of the meeting, the man said that everyone should make an advance payment of 6 thousand rubles. The gullible classmates began to transfer money, but no funds entered the restaurant – the organizer was to book the institution and did not plan. He raised 40 thousand rubles and went to Sochi. When there was little time left before the appointed date, the chat participants began to worry about the lack of confirmation of the armor. Attempts to find out the details from the organizer ended with evasive answers. Having called directly to the restaurant, the deceived graduates learned that there was no order in their name, ”the prosecutor’s office said.
Later, law enforcement officers found out that before that the attacker took another 10 thousand rubles from his other friend, inventing the story of the theft of the wallet.
The prosecutor's office approved a man of fraud accusation with a cause of significant damage (part 2 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). They can punish for this with a fine of up to 300 thousand rubles; or obligatory work, correctional or forced; or imprisonment for up to 5 years. The criminal case will be considered by the Soviet District Court.
