New Ultimatum of Donald Trump for Russia. The US president confirms

Trump said about his decision during a conversation with journalists on board Air Force One while returning from a visit to Scotland, describing it as an official advertisement. – Then we will put on sanctions and duties. I don't know if it will affect Russia or not, because Putin of course wants Ukraine – he said.
The day before, the US president spoke more generally that he would give Russia 10-12 days to take steps to end the war with Ukraine.
As we read in “Kiyv Post”, Donald Trump is increasingly frustrated with an impasse in negotiations regarding the end of the war in Ukraine and the tenacity of Vladimir Putin. Therefore, he signaled a significant change in his approach to the President of Russia. However, according to a person similar to Washington, a new ultimatum, which Trump has put his counterpart from the Kremlin, is also related to what is happening in the United States. The American president is under pressure – especially from a man who is ready to “break the spine” of the Russian economy.
The Kremlin “acknowledged” the words of Trump
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Pieskov said earlier that Russia “acknowledged” Ultimatum Trump, which on Monday gave Russia the aforementioned 10-12 days. Interestingly, two weeks ago Trump talked about 50 days. He threatened then that if Putin did not end the war at that time, Russia would be covered by “very harsh duties”.
– We acknowledged Trump's statement yesterday. A special military operation is continued – said Pieskow, referring to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. “We remain involved in the peace process to solve the conflict around Ukraine,” he added, but he noted that during this process the Russian side “must take care of its interests”.
On Monday evening, the Vice -President of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev expressed the view that “every new Ultimatum Trump is a threat and a step towards the war.” “Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with its own country,” he said.
