At the meeting were representatives of the Coordinating headquarters on the treatment of prisoners of war, representatives of services participating in the exchange, the team of the president’s office, as well as people freed from Russian captivity.
Participants honored the memory of the military, who died exactly three years ago as a result of the attack of Russians in Elena.
“We talked about the most important thing: the return of all our people home, at what stage we are with exchanges today. We are not a day. From the beginning of a full -scale war, a total of 5857 people have returned living from captivity. Outside of exchanges – another 555 people. According to the results of exchanges within Istanbul, we returned more than 1 thousand our soldiers. We hope to free those civilians that are now restrained in the same way Russia, ”the president wrote.
He emphasized that it is important to continue exchanges, check the situation for each surname, and thanked everyone who works on it.
