Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov confirmed that Putin would visit China, but said Moscow did not find out if Trump intends to do so.
“If it happens that the US president will decide to go to China at that time, then such a meeting cannot be theoretically excluded,” ADEclarat Dmitri Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, according to Reuters.
Vladimir Putin will travel to Beijing for a wide military parade that will mark 80 years since the end of World War II. Chinese President Xi Jinping will prescribe the event, which will take place in Tiananmen Square on September 3
The Times newspaper reported last week that China is preparing its land to organize a summit between Trump and Putin. Putin and Trump have discussed at least six times since Trump returned to the White House in January.
The Kremlin said it is in favor of a face -to -face meeting between them, but it would require careful training to produce results.
Since Donald Trump's return to the White House in January this year, the American and Russian presidents have discussed by telephone several times, especially on the large-scale invasion launched by Russia against neighboring Ukraine in February 2022, but the two leaders have not met personally.
