On the City of Zheleznogorsk, Rosatom gave residents a new art object and a concert of the group of the Turkish choir.

Last weekend, one of the oldest nuclear cities-Zheleznogorsk, celebrated his 75th anniversary. In honor of the holiday, residents of the city received a new art object-“Tree of Glory” as a gift from the mining and chemical plant.

An art object is a digital library stylized under a tree and installed on an area, with which for many decades, electric trains left, which delivered employees of the plant to its podgory part.

Opening the “Tree of Glory”, the director of state policy in the field of radioactive waste (RAO), who has worked out nuclear fuel (OIS) and decommissioning nuclear and radiation hazardous facilities of the State Corporation “Rosatom” Vasily Tinin noted:

“Zheleznogorsk owes its birth to the legend of the nuclear industry-a mining and chemical plant, which also turns 75 years old this year. “Tree of Glory” is primarily a monument to selfless work. Both the plant and the city were built exclusively by selfless people. Pioneers with a capital letter. In a different way, without giving all itself to the work-nor high-tech production in the thickness of the granite cliff, which ensured the safety of our country, nor a beautiful modern city in the taiga would be impossible to build in a record time. ”

Participants in the opening ceremony of the “tree of Glory” noted the importance for the enterprise and the entire Zheleznogorsk such a modern art object, thanks to which you can collect and preserve the memory of first builders and active contemporaries for new generations. The Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the GC Yuri Anufriev, on behalf of his comrades, sincerely thanked the leaders of the Division “Environmental Decisions” by the State Corporation “Rosatom” and the enterprise for supporting the idea of creating such a timely and multifaceted monument, which will become a bridge between generations of Zheleznogorsk.

The project was organized under the slogan “Writing the History of Names.” Its task is to collect the most complete list of names and merits not only of the generation that was built by the plant and the city of Zheleznogorsk, but also those who today make a personal contribution to the formation of the appearance of Zheleznogorsk and its production. The collection of a digital database and its placement on electronic sites will continue until the end of 2025.

Tatyana Meshaykina, a guest of the ceremony and a representative of the family, whose names are immortalized in the “tree of fame”, noted:

“My father, Vyacheslav Ivanovich Meshaykin, worked for HCC. Today, his name was introduced into the digital library “Tree of Glory of the GHK”, the name of my mother Lyudmila Petrovna is also immortalized here. I am proud that our family is part of the history of the enterprise and the city. The continuity of generations is of particular importance for us. I continue to work at the plant, which is a great responsibility for me. ”

All day in the park on the central alley, an interactive platform of the GKC worked. Entertainment, including creative master classes, board games and thematic activity were organized for guests. Of particular interest was the photo zone with the growth figure of Albert Einstein, who, during the procession on the red carpet, headed the column of the enterprise along with the leadership, veterans and employees of the GHC.

At the end of the day, at the Zheleznogorsk Stadium, with the support of the Rosatom Culture program, and in honor of the approach of the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry, with which the life of Zheleznogorsk is inextricably linked, the “We-Russia” musical collective of soloists “Choir of Turkish” was held.
