The hotel from the outside looks finished, the pools are, there are roads, there is even a magnificent palm when entering the “Polish Dubai”. So why can guests still not use the hotel? This is still not fully known – although it is no secret that the history of the establishment of the object was full of obstacles. However, how to look well, you can see that work is still going on here and there. This is suggested by construction machines, which can still be seen at the hotel or, for example, some sealed windows. In April, however, the media circulated news that recruitment for hotel service workers had started.

So when can Hotel Gołębiewski in Pobierów finally move? “Preparatory work related to opening is currently underway ” – Journalist Onet Karolina Walczowska from Gołębiewski Holding got such information on this subject. The company at the same time asked for “a bit of patience”.

What does it mean exactly – it is not known. In Pobierowo, you can hear that this holiday season will probably not move. Can it happen in autumn? – I would be honestly surprised – I hear from one of the local entrepreneurs. – I think it will be another lost season for this company – he adds.

Great hotel, great problems

The construction of this largest hotel in the country started around 2018 and quickly came across subsequent reefs. The size of the object aroused controversy – and the fact that it began to appear in a quiet, coastal area. The media informed about problems with permits or difficult conditions of work on site. In Pobierowo, you can hear that around the construction “there has always been a lot of organizational chaos”.

It is known that the hotel was the apple of the famous entrepreneur Tadeusz Gołębiewski, who, however, did not see it – he died in the summer of 2022. The head of the hotel company was very keen to start accepting guests as soon as possible. So much that the partial opening of the hotel was apparently considered – so that tourists could stay in one, and the other could still be carried out. This did not happen, but apparently this scenario is not completely excluded. And it may turn out that, for example, in the autumn of this year guests will be able to come to some batches of the hotel.

The facility is built in the middle of the forest and has 11 floors of above -ground and two underground. It is supposed to be there 1.2 thousand Infrastructure rooms for over 3,000 guests.

There will be theater and cinema rooms, and of course external and internal pools. There will also be basketball and volleyball fields, courts or climbing walls. The body of the building is characteristic, which resembles two connected cruise ships. It was designed so that the Baltic could be seen from most rooms.

Although the hotel has not started – and it is not known when it will happen – it is already a great tourist attraction. Practically at any time of the day you can see tourists who go for a walk or bicycle trip to see the “Baltic Giant” with their own eyes.
