The Ministry of Justice of the US informed in May President Donald Trump that his name appears in documents regarding the finance and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein – wrote on Wednesday the daily “Wall Street Journal”. The White House said it was Fake News.

The US prosecutor General Pam Bondi and her deputy during a meeting in May with Trump were to tell him that his name appears in documents regarding this case – said the newspaper, citing high -ranking representatives of administration. According to them, Trump's name appears in documents many times. The newspaper emphasized that the very appearance of the name in documents does not mean that a person has committed inappropriate actions.
The president was also told that the names of many other famous people appear in the files. It has been announced that the ministry is not planning to publish any subsequent documents related to this investigation due to their present child pornography and attention to the need to protect victims. During the meeting, Trump said he would agree to the decision of the ministry not to disclose further documents.

Last week, Trump assured that Bondi did not tell him that his name appeared in the documents.
The spokesman for the White House Steven Cheung accused the newspaper that her Wednesday publication is Fake News. “It is nothing but a continuation of false messages invented by Democrats and liberal media,” he wrote in a statement, cited by the Reuters agency. Last week, the president accused “WSJ” of defamation due to an article about his connections with Epstein.
Also last Thursday, Trump announced that he had been asked by prosecutor general to present testimonies before the jury in the Epstein case. Bondi announced that she would ask court in this case. On Wednesday, a federal judge in Florida did not agree to declassify the testimony. This is the first court decision in this matter.
On Wednesday, Bondi and Deputy Prosecutor General Prosecutor General Blanche said that Trump was informed about the decision that the Epstein's investigation would not be continued. “There was nothing in the documents that would constitute the basis for a further investigation or prosecution and we submitted an application in court to reveal the testimonies submitted to the jury. As part of the routine briefing, we informed the president about the findings,” it was reported.
Trump admitted a week ago that he lost his faith in some of his supporters, who – as he decided – were caught up in the “mystification” of Democrats about the Epstein case. He also assessed that this is a topic that public opinion should not deal with.
Earlier, the Prosecutor General announced that the investigation in the Epstein case did not show that there was a list of his clients, whose publishing was promised, and the billionaire himself committed suicide. The Ministry of Justice announced that no new documents in this matter will be published. This caused unprecedented divisions in the Republican environment and indignation in the Maga Movement Protrumpy. The government was accused of hiding the truth about the death of Epstein, which, according to earlier findings, committed suicide in custody in 2019, waiting for the process of trafficking in people for sexual purposes.
Trump himself promised that after returning to the White House he would reveal further documents regarding the financier. Representatives of the right -wing media for years suggested that the government was hiding information on Epstein, which they think was supposed to keep a “list of customers” used to blackmail prominent people. In February, Bondi informed Fox News that “Customer List” is already on her desk and is waiting for analysis.
