Problems on multiple roads and highways due to the red code of heat. What restrictions were imposed for Sunday

The Romanian police announce tonnage restrictions, on Sunday, between 12:00 and 20:00, for vehicles with maximum authorized mass greater than 7.5 tonnes, on sectors of highways, express roads, national roads in Călăraşi counties, Dâmboviţa, Giurgiu, Ilfov and Teleorman, on the Fund of the Red Code.

The Infotrafic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police informs that on Sunday, between 12:00 and 20:00, there will be tonnage restrictions for vehicles with maximum authorized mass greater than 7.5 tonnes, on the sectors of highways, express roads and national roads in Calarasi, Dâmboviţa, Giurgiu National Meteorological Administration.

They are exempted from restrictions: transport of persons, live animals, perishable products, medical equipment, fuels, water and food in calamity areas, vehicles for interventions, sanitation or traction, postal, funeral, military, those in agriculture, in controlled temperature regime, within the SGR and with various food products.

The whole country is on Saturday under heat warnings, including a red code. On Sunday, the areas affected by the heat are restricted, but the five counties mentioned and the capital remain under a red code warning. There will be maximum temperatures of 39 … 41 degrees. The thermal discomfort will be particularly accentuated, and the temperature-humidity index (ITU) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. The thermal minimums will be 20 … 23 degrees, characterizing a tropical night.
