Fidesz stays in power thanks to the support of older people and the fact that young people ignore politics or that some of them ultimately vote for Fidesz, even if they don't like him. So far, this was enough to obtain less than half of the votes and the constitutional majority in parliament.
This year is different. Fidesz in the polls is extremely consistently losing to the greatest opposition party of Tisza, and the reluctance of young people only gain strength. At concerts and festivals, the audience will spontaneously chant vulgar slogans against Fidesz, and listeners make fun of the party, its members and voters.
The fact that young people do not vote for Orban is not unusual – in the last two decades it was no different. Now, however, the Hungarian popular music scene has joined their resistance.
The two biggest pop stars of modern Hungary – singers of Azahriah and Majka, support young people in their rebellion.

Janos Lazar, a leading member of the Fidesz party, described it with the words: “Among young people, irrational and unfounded anti -government moods are spreading” – which well reflects the detachment of the party's management from the world of 20 -year -olds.
This is inevitable – the highest Fidesz activists are mostly men aged 50 and 60. The subject of their concern is not the life of people for a generation of younger. They have marketers and propaganda from this.
This machine immediately reacted with a sharp attack on both musicians, which is surprisingly violent even to the standards of Hungarian state and party media.
The words of one of the leading propagandists of the party, Zsolt Bayer, reflect this mood: “Lajdacy, villains, madmen, villains, dishonest cowardly asshole, small, slippery bastards that have no idea what they are doing.”
“Perhaps the party is helpless”
The Hungarian telex service wonders what can be behind this surprising move of Fidesz PR, who in the face of the loss of support among young people offend their favorite musicians.
Perhaps the party is helpless. He does the only thing she can and has not drawn conclusions, for example, from Donald Trump, who does not attack most young artists, but boasts the music stars favorable to him (whom Viktor Orban also has in stock).

The second possibility is that Fidesz knows what he is doing again. The party could already write young voters for losses. Showing their alleged corruption and stupidity, he wants, above all, to provide his die -hard supporters that only Fidesz is a guarantee of a safe and “normal” state.
In the current situation (considering the polls), this would not be enough to obtain a customary constitutional majority, but Fidesz most likely quietly strives for ordinary victory.
Tisza, the main opposition party of Hungary, headed by Peter Magyar (former politician of the Orban group), is already enjoys 15 %. the advantage over the ruling Fidesz. The recent median survey shows that the desire to vote for Peter Magyar's grouping was expressed by 51 percent. voters, at 36 percent supporting the party of Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
A study published in the weekly “HVG” showed that the formation led by Magyar is particularly popular among young people. Among the respondents under the age of 40, the opposition political group obtained as much as 58 percent. votes. Meanwhile, most of the Hungarians over 50 still support Fidesz.
