Salvamont Salvaspeo Mureș representatives sent a warning on Saturday morning, after previously the rescue teams were asked to intervene in two tragic drowning cases in the county.
“In a single day, we were asked to look for two minors drowned in Mures County,” the rescuers said in a message published on social networks.
The two cases, produced within only 24 hours, brought to attention the major risks to which the children are exposed in the hot season.
“Such situations become more frequent during the summer, especially when the children are without proper supervision near the waters,” Salvamont Salvaspeo Mureș warned.
Salvamontists also published a list of essential tips for drowning prevention:
- Do not leave children unattended near the water, not even in shallow areas.
- Allow them access only in specially arranged and supervised places.
- Use rescue vests for children who do not know how to swim or swim weakly.
- If a child disappears near the water, every second matters, call 112 immediately.
“Such tragedies can be prevented by attention and responsibility from adults!”, Is the conclusion transmitted by rescuers.
