In Krasnoyarsk, a 72-year-old woman sold an apartment at the direction of scammers and gave the scammers the money made out for her. This was reported in the regional prosecutor's office.

According to the supervisory authority, everything happened in June 2025. Initially, the pensioner had two apartments, one of which – the parent – he sold, and received 4.4 million rubles for this. After the deal, the elderly Krasnoyarka received a call from the scam from the scam.

The interlocutor was convincing: he called himself an officer and showed a certain power of attorney with a seal and signature in the video call, saying that a realtor who was engaged in the sale of an apartment of a woman illegally issued the right to dispose of all her property and money.

“The false guardian included an audio recording to the pensioner, where a plan was discussed to seize her second apartment and convinced the woman to sell the remaining housing as soon as possible to save her funds,” the prosecutor’s office said.

As a result, Krasnoyarsk sold a second apartment for 7.3 million rubles. She received the entire amount in cash in the bank’s branch and, at the direction of the attacker, was supposed to transfer funds for storage “under arrest” in the regional treasury.

The next day, the fraudster said that he would send his colleague. At the appointed time, a young man appeared at the house of a pensioner who introduced himself as an employee of the special services. The woman handed him a package with 7.1 million rubles and a receipt, after which the man disappeared.

When the pensioner realized what had happened, the phone suddenly turned out to be cleaned: all contacts and messages disappeared. A criminal case of fraud was opened on this fact (Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
