Dragoș Anastasiu came out with a reply on Saturday after the DNA sent, in a response published by G4Media, that the current Deputy Prime Minister and his business partner “had the capacity of denunciation” in the criminal case in which an ANAF inspector was convicted for taking bribes.
In a message published on Facebook, Deputy Prime Minister Anastasiu asks the anti-corruption parquet to provide him with the “alleged denunciation” that he registered in the file.
“In order to clarify in the public space my witness quality in the file regarding the corruption facts of some officials from ANAF, I sent today to DNA a written request by which I asked for a copy of the alleged denunciation I would have made,” wrote Dragoș Anastasiu.
He denied those transmitted by the DNA that he had the capacity of “denunciation witness” in the file that led to the sentence to 5 years and 2 months in prison of ANAF Angela Burlacu.
“I reiterate that I did not sign and file a complaint, but I gave statements about the facts that took place,” concludes Anastasiu.
What DNA has transmitted
“In the file to which you refer, the two persons mentioned in the request had the capacity of witnesses, which is why at the issuance of the indictment on May 17, 2018, the anti-corruption prosecutors ordered them against them under Art. G4media.
The DNA response contradicts the one offered by the Deputy Prime Minister on Friday, as well as the one offered by the Government spokesman.
