Macron announces that France is ready to participate in the defense of Israel in front of Iran

President Emmanuel Macron said on Friday that France will participate in Israel's “protective and defense operations” in the case of Iranian “reprisals”, if he is “able to do so,” AFP reports, according to Agerpres.
“I expressed my availability in this regard,” added the French president in a press conference. “Instead, I do not intend to participate in any offensive operation. This is not our role,” said the French leader.
He warned that “the global economy can be affected, or that it is commercial routes and threats concerning the Ormuz Strait, or it is the global oil production capacities”, also mentioning “the consequences for our compatriots in the region, or they are diplomats, military or citizens”;
Iran's revolutionary guards announced on Friday night that they had attacked dozens of targets in Israel, as a response at the hit campaign that the Israeli army initiated on Thursday night to Friday and continued this evening.
Israel claims that the operation launched Thursday night is meant to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapon.
In response, on Friday night, Iran launched two waves of ballistic missiles on Friday night, the IRNA state news agency announced. According to an Israeli military official, about 100 missiles were launched in the first wave. Shortly after, a second missile attack was announced.
The Israeli army confirmed that it has identified rockets launched from Iran and said that defense systems are active to intercept the attack. The Israeli authorities asked the population to shelter in safe spaces.
“Our revenge has just begun, they will pay a high price for killing the commanders, scientists and our people,” a high -ranking Iranian official said.
