The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced on Friday that, starting next week, he will do checks in hospitals to check the food served to patients. He has received over 200 messages on this topic and announces that, in some places, you can see “how much contempt exists to people,” notes News.ro.

“Respect in hospitals is not an option. It's an obligation. Who does not understand this, I leave! I was recently in a public hospital in Romania, where I saw what respect for the patient means. I saw cooked food, cleaning, worthy attitude. Public, daily, photos with menus, for everyone.

Meanwhile, I received over 200 notifications through the online form launched by the Ministry of Health, with images sent by patients. Some look impeccable – proof that there are hospitals that work properly. Others, unfortunately, show exactly how much contempt exists, in some places, compared to people ”, the Minister of Sănmtţii said.

The official will make checks in hospitals on menus.

“Next week, visits begin without prior announcement. I go directly where the patients have sent us notifications. I will show public what is happening in each place-both good and bad.

Respect starts from the basic and humanity things: food, cleanliness, behavior. It's not philosophy. It's good. Who is not able to apply it, has nothing to do in a management position in a public hospital, ”said Alexandru Rogobete.

He considers that “the public health system is the basis of the system and our role is to offer patients adequate treatments, innovative treatments – where there is no therapeutic alternative, high -performance technologies and, very important, respect”.
