In Uzhura, a pawnshop pretending to be a commission was closed

In the Uzhure of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the prosecutor's office closed the pawnshop, which worked under the guise of a commission store. This was reported in the press service of the department.

As it was possible to find out, the entrepreneur, under the guise of conventional trading in the goods, issued consumer loans secured by property during the year, masking them to the commission agreements.

Clients honestly said that they really “handed over” equipment and jewelry to the store, receiving money “for a while”. A month later, they bought their things back, paying interest, as in a pawnshop. For example, one of the clients in May 2024 received a loan of 18 thousand rubles. under 20 % per month – and all this under the seal of the commission store.

The prosecutor’s office noted that according to the law, the store was supposed to be a credit institution. The entrepreneur was fined 30 thousand rubles for the illegal provision of consumer loans. The activities of the pawnshop is stopped.
