In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a ski -regional highway on the territory of the sports school named after Harry Eller in Borodino. The work was carried out in the framework of the regional state program “Development of physical culture and sports.”
The Ministry of Sports said that the paths were expanded, laid a new asphalt, they also repaired the area of the fire line. The director of the sports school Vitaly Sapozhnikov is sure: the update will improve the quality of training, attract more athletes and lovers of outdoor activities, and also create conditions for various sports events.
“The pavement of the highway was laid 10 years ago, when they built a winter sports complex. During this time, the track was repaired only in small parts. It constantly wears out due to intensive use, cracks appear from the tip of the ski-roller sticks. The new coating improves the training process and most importantly – increases the safety of young athletes, ”said Vitaly Sapozhnikov.
Borodino athletes have already tested a new asphalt. The guys note that the new coating significantly improved the sliding quality, and the expansion of the highway provided more comfortable conditions at the start and finish.
The Ministry of Sports recalled that the Harry Eller sports school was opened in 1975. The institution is known in Russia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory with its successes and achievements in skiing and biathlon. In different years, Borodino was glorified by Olga Romasko, Olga Medvedtseva, Olga Yakushova.
Today, the Eller school is a large sports complex with gyms, a swimming pool, a ski -roller track, planar structures and a biathlon shooting range. In 2025, the Borodino sports school celebrates the 50th anniversary.
