The Prime Minister announced on Wednesday that Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda would replace Izabela Leszczyn as the Minister of Health. He added that the Ministry of Health will go into the hands of only professionals from the management of the healthcare system, and the only goal would be to improve the situation of patients. – I will also say very brutally, not improving the situation of doctors, but to improve the situation of patients – added the head of government.

OZZL in the position given on Thursday expressed “deep indignation and opposition” with the words of the prime minister. The union pointed out that this is an unacceptable rhetoric, which once again tries to blame for the “dramatic” state of health protection on the medical environment. OZZL pointed out that once again doctors are becoming a convenient political goal.

It is impossible to improve the situation of patients by hitting doctors – it was noted.

According to OZZL, the government diverts attention from its own neglect: organizational chaos, inadequate benefits valuations, contracts with historically signed institutions, and not according to the needs, lack of digitization and no broad reforms. “It is not us doctors who created this framework,” it was emphasized.

The chairwoman of the National Board of OZZL Grażyna Cebula-Kubat, cited in the positioned position, pointed out that politicians for years ignored the warnings and postulates of doctors. “If Prime Minister Tusk thinks that he will improve the situation of patients, setting society against doctors, he is very wrong,” she noted.

OZZL pointed out that, contrary to the prime minister's words, the situation of many doctors requires a thorough improvement in the dimension of work organization, leadership and satisfaction. The union emphasized that the stories of ruling about “Krezus doctors” are out of context. OZZL pointed out that among nearly 150,000 There are specialists who “valued the system at very high”, but there are also doctors who in public hospitals “on the basic full -time of every Pole, have PLN 50 per hour.”

OZZL pointed out that the declarations of “reproduction of the health department” sound false in the mouth of a politician, who at the same time divides the health care environment into better and worse. It was emphasized that if the new Minister of Health is to act “against the interests of the medical environments, it will not be a reform, but further erosion and” unstable system in which there is a lack of trust and mutual claims. “

OZZL appealed to the government for a return to responsible communication and substantive conversation.

Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda is a lawyer with the title of MBA for medical staff, president of Pomeranian hospitals, a managing company of four hospital entities owned by the local government of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

The Prime Minister said that Sobierańska-Grenda in hospitals in Pomerania introduced “order with a strong hand”.

Leszczyna failed to reform hospital. After prolonged works and consultations on July 1, the government adopted a project prepared by the Ministry of Health, which assumes the flexible transformation of departments and the merger of hospitals by local governments. The Sejm is working on the project. (PAP)
