I thanked TVP for the offer and after analyzing I decided not to accept it. Motivation was only business, I think I will deliver to the project of a co -producer or co -producers on better conditions – explained the producer and screenwriter of the new film adaptation of “Dolls” Radosław Drabik.

– Today the first slap for the movie “Doll” has fallen. We started in the center of Warsaw. Official information will appear today – the co -owner of Gigant Films informed PAP. He explained that on the first photo day on the set appeared, among others Kamila Office playing Izabela Łęcka and Andrzej Seweryn, who creates the figure of Count Tomasz Łęcki.
When asked who is the co -producer of the film “Doll” and who co -finances him, Radosław Drabik said: – Coproducens are already on board and we will announce them soon.
“With the participation of Polish Television, both the series and the film will not be made based on the novel of Bolesław Prus. The producer gave up the co -production of” Dolls “by TVP and the offered funding in the amount of PLN 10 million” – TVP Corporate Communication Department said on Tuesday PAP on Tuesday.
The announcement reminded that Polish Television “supports attempts to film the classics of Polish literature with full commitment.” “However, in a situation where the series” Doll “in parallel implements a streaming platform, reproduction of expensive projects is not justified – neither from the point of view of public interest, nor because of the financial capabilities of the company that is currently in a state of liquidation,” it was explained.
“The offer of co -financing the production of film by Polish Television was PLN 10 million. However, the producer of the film” Doll “Gigant Films gave up cooperation with the public broadcaster. TVP adopted this decision with understanding and respect for the independence of the creators. From the beginning of the talks, the company showed openness and involvement in the development of the project, declaring significant financial support,” we read in the announcement.
“Polish Television wishes the producer good luck in further work on the screening of the novel by Bolesław Prus and hopes that the next film” doll “will be a worthy adaptation of one of the most important positions of Polish literature,” it wrote in the information sent. (PAP)
