The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete and the head of the Department for Emergency Situations, Raed Arafat went to Iași following the fire at the Clinical Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology Cuza Voda.
The authorities said that ISU Iași was announced at 12:32 by the production of a fire at Cuza Voda Hospital. In the next two minutes ISU Iași activated the red intervention plan, supplementing the intervention forces.
224 patients and 50 people from medical staff were evacuated. At 13:30 the fire was liquidated. There are no victims, but a nurse was intoxicated with smoke and transported to UPU Spiridon.

“The teams here, from Iasi, reacted professionally, coordinated and efficient. The manager and the medical team reacted the first and evacuated the children from any risk zone. When the rescue teams reached the place of intervention, the fire manifested at the basement of the pavilions A and B, on an area of approx. 60 sqm, with intense smoke and possibilities of propagation at the upper levels of the pavilions and the neighboring buildings, the authorities show.
