The Heavy Metal star Ozzy Osbourne died on Tuesday, just a few weeks after meeting with colleagues in the Black Sabbath band and held a farewell concert, Skynews reports.

“With a pain that words cannot express, we announce that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has ceased life this morning. He was with the family, surrounded by love,” the artist's family said in a statement.

Less than three weeks ago, Osbourne, 76 years old, went on stage at Villa Park and sang from a throne, addressing the fans an emotional message: “You have no idea what I feel now-thank you with all my soul.”

The concert was thought of as a “last bowing” for the artist and included representations of favorite troops by Ozzy, such as Metallica and Guns n 'Roses.

The artist suffered from Parkinson's disease and, in recent years, has had other health problems, including complications from a fall suffered in 2019.

Ozzy Osbourne leaves his wife, Sharon, and their children – Aimee, Kelly and Jack – as well as two children from the first marriage to Thelma Riley, Jessica and Louis, and more grandchildren.

Ozzy Osbourne was a pioneer of Heavy Metal music next to the Black Sabbath band, before imposing itself as a solo artist. He remained in the memory of the public for hits such as Iron Man, Paranoid, War Pigs, Crazy Train and Changes, which marked several generations of fans, both during Black Sabbath and in his individual career.

The singer also became known due to the reality show broadcast in the 2000s by MTV, The Osbournes, who presented his chaotic life in Los Angeles with his wife, Sharon, and two of their children, Kelly and Jack. Ozzy was also famous for the scandalous stories during the glory period of his rock star career – the best known when he bit the head of a bat on stage.

After he had to cancel several concerts in the tournament, Ozzy Osbourne appeared on stage surprisingly, at a unique moment, at the 2022 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony in his hometown, Birmingham.

The concert at Villa Park, announced earlier this year by his wife, Sharon, had been thought of as a “perfect-good” for fans, according to its statements.

Throughout his career, Ozzy Osbourne has been included in both the UK Music Hall of Fame and in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the US-twice every, both as a member of the Black Sabbath band and as a solo artist.

He has a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, but also on Broad Street in Birmingham, his hometown. He received an Ivor Novello award for his remarkable contribution to music and won five Grammy Awards of 12 nominations. Over the years, distinctions have been given to him like GodLike Genius Award from NME and Living Legend from Classic Rock.
