Iran's response to Trump's new threats: “If you fight, we will fight too”

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the head of Iran's delegation to the talks in Islamabad, said Tehran had taken initiatives to show goodwill in talks with the United States, but Iran was willing to fight if US President Donald Trump resumed hostilities.
Ghalibaf said that Donald Trump's new threats will have no effect on the Iranian nation, Reuters reports.
“If you fight, we will fight, and if you come with logic, we will discuss with logic. We will not give in to any threat. Let us try one more time to teach them a new lesson,” Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf was quoted as saying by Reuters.
The response of the Revolutionary Guards
Another member of the Iranian delegation, Mahmoud Nabavian, claims in a post on X that Washington demanded “a share of the benefits gained by controlling the Strait of Hormuz, removing from Iran 60% of its enriched uranium and suspending the right to enrich uranium for 20 years.”
Regarding Donald Trump's announcement regarding the establishment of a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and the start of demining operations in the area, the reaction came from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, who announced that the approach of a military ship to the strait will be considered a violation of the ceasefire and treated as such, reports Iran International.
“Contrary to false claims by some enemy officials, the Strait of Hormuz is open to civilian vessels under intelligent control and management in accordance with specific regulations,” the Guards said in a statement.
The blockade instituted by Trump
US President Donald Trump announced in a post on Truth Social that the US Navy will begin an immediate blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
Donald Trump has said that the main point on which the negotiations between the US and Iran have stalled in Islamabad were related to the fact that Tehran does not want to give up its nuclear weapons.
Under these circumstances, Trump decided to block the Strait of Hormuz. “Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the best in the world, will begin the process of blocking all ships attempting to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz,” the US president wrote.
He promises that the time will come when traffic through the strait will be free, but the current situation is due to Iran, which has said that it does not know exactly where the sea mines have been placed.
“This is blackmailing the world, and the leaders of the countries, especially the United States of America, will not be blackmailed. We have also ordered our navy to search and stop all ships in international waters that have paid tolls to Iran. No one will have free passage at sea if they have paid an illegal toll,” said Donald Trump.
US warships will also begin destroying Iranian mines laid so far, and Trump has threatened that any Iranian attack on US ships or civilians will draw US retaliation.
