“It will not be about dark memories. Many people only see unhappiness all their lives, so if we look realistically, most of us – especially rockers like me – we are very lucky. Known for his black humor, Osbourne even joked that he would like his funeral to run a video with him asking for a second medical opinion about his death. And in terms of music, it was not pretentious at all:
“I do not care what music is put in my funeral. Maybe can be Justin Bieber, Susan Boyle or We have The Diddymen, as long as he makes your loved ones happy.” he said, according to the Daily Mail.
However, in an interview with NME magazine in 2016, Ozzy offered a clearer variant on the soundtrack: “A Day in the Life” from The Beatles-one of the troops that inspired him to become a musician.
He insisted that he does not want his own hits to be broadcast: “Not to put on my Greatest Hits album-I don't even listen to it, it makes me ashamed!”
