The dismissal of Zygmunt Solorz from the Supervisory Board of the Polsat Plus Group will be immediately appealed because it is in contradiction with procedures and the law – said in a statement the lawyer of Zygmunt Solorz Radosław L. Kwaśnicki from the RKKW office – Kwaśnicki, Wróbel & Partners.
“Zygmunt Solorz, who is the owner of the Polsat Plus Group, expresses deep disapproval for the discussed changes, with all the power emphasizing the unlawful and non -primeval activities underlying this, only transitional, situation” – the business statement was written in the PAP sent in PAP.
“Today's allegedly effective changes will be immediately challenged, because they are in contradiction to both the procedures and the law. The alleged appeal of Zygmunt Solorz from the position of the head of the supervisory board is, in his opinion, only a temporary catwalk aimed at drawing attention to the dispute around the company, which does not serve its current operations” – added.
In a statement, the lawyer indicated that the dismissal of Zygmunt Solorz is a “desperate image maneuver resulting from the strong argument of my client presented in the appeal from the first instance judgment in Liechtenstein and his recent court successes in Cyprus and in Liechtenstein.”
“Persons who have been defective must take into account strict responsibility for actions taken until court rulings regarding their mandates,” wrote Radosław L. Kwaśnicki.
Tivi Foundation, a shareholder of Cyfrowy Polsat, dismissed on Tuesday Zygmunt Solorz from the position of chairman of the company's supervisory board and appointed Daniel Kaczorowski.
The shareholder also dismissed Mirosław Błaszczyk from the position of the president of the company and appointed Andrzej Abramczuk. In a press release, Tivi Foundation indicated that the purpose of the changes was to improve the supervision of the foundation's key companies.
Andrzej Abramczuk was also appointed to the president of Polkomtel.
Kaczorowski was also appointed as chairman of the supervisory board of companies: Polkomtel, Netia and Telewizja Polsat.
Andrzej Abramczuk has been the president of Netia from August 18, 2018, with whom he has been associated since December 12, 2017, when he joined the board as a strategy and regulation director.
Daniel Kaczorowski is a legal advisor and has over 25 years of experience in international law firms, mostly as a partner or partner. His practice includes transactions on both the public and private market.
In the press release of Tivi Foundation, she indicated that the changes were necessary to properly fulfill the obligation to ensure operational continuity.
“The Foundation Council sees and appreciates the indisputable contribution of Mr. Zygmunt Solorz and Mr. Mirosław Błaszczyk in the creation and development of the Polsat Plus Group in recent decades” – it was written.
It has been added that the Foundation Council will continue to monitor the situation and make relevant decisions in the event of such a need.
In May 2025, the court in Lichtenstein dismissed Zygmunt Solorz's action regarding changes in the statute of his Tivi Foundation Foundation, under which his children took control of Solorz's businesses. The main adviser to Zygmunt Solorz Radosław Kwaśnicki in “Puls Biznesu” reported that the appeal against this unlawful judgment was submitted in June. After the judgment of the court of first instance, Zygmunt Solorz in a statement emphasized that he had kept control of the TIVI Foundation.
The dispute between Zygmunt Solorz and his children concerned succession in the billionaire's business empire and was revealed in September 2024. “Gazeta Wyborcza” said that the three children of Zygmunt Solorz sent a warning to managers of four most important businessman companies. They believed that the good of these companies was threatened by people who want to take control of business. It was About Polsat and strategic companies for the state. At the same time, the rights of Zygmunt Solorz were suspended as the owner of the foundation to appoint members of their management bodies.
In October 2024, the Extraordinary General Meeting of Cyfrowy Polsat dismissed Tobias Solorz and Jarosław Grzesiak from the Supervisory Board. Tobias Solorz filed a lawsuit in this case, but at the beginning of July CP announced that it was fully withdrawn.
Also in October 2024, both sons of Zygmunt Solorz – Tobias Solorz and Piotr Żak, as well as Grzesiak, were dismissed from the supervisory board of the energy group from PAK; Żak's lawsuit was also withdrawn.
At a similar time, Solorz's sons were also dismissed from the supervisory boards of Cyfrowy Polsat, Netia and Polkomtel.
The main areas of the interests of Zygmunt Solorz are telecommunications, media, construction and energy. His companies are focused in the Polsat Plus group, separately Solorz is also the majority shareholder of the energy group at PAK. (PAP Biznes)
