For 90 years, the Krasnoyarsk car depot was turned, where passenger trains are formed and served, setting off from the main station in the Krasnoyarsk highway. These are trains of all local directions, including the popular route to Abakan, as well as the southern trains of Krasnoyarsk – Adler and Krasnoyarsk – Anapa.

The creation of the depot was due to the economic and social development of the administrative center of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, an increase in the number of trains and the flow of passengers.

Krasnoyarsk became one of 200 railway stations of the country, where in July 1935, according to the order of the People’s Commissariat of the Railways of the USSR, the construction of car repair points (RIGS) began.

The first workshop with an area of 1300 square meters. meters were built in record time – after six months later, they began to carry out the repair of wagons.

In 1936, the first long -distance train was formed in the depot in the local message – Krasnoyarsk – Ilanskaya. He overcame all the way to Ilansky in 9 hours. By the mid-1950s, the number of production facilities increased, and the GRP became a full-fledged passenger car depot. Including, a wheel-roller workshop was built here for the repair of wheeled wagons, a painting workshop for painting, and car wash-for washing the compositions before departing on a flight, as well as a large building for conductors.

Thus, conditions were created for the further development of the passenger traffic on the Krasnoyarsk railway. If in the year of its creation, in 1935, 3-4 passenger cars were served in the depot monthly, now up to 60 wagons.
