The Radical Right Party Party seems to be one of the great winners of the elections for the upper House of the Parliament in Japan, obtaining support with warnings related to the “silent invasion” of immigrants and promises to reduce social taxes and expenses. His leader, Sohei Kamiya, does not hide that Donald Trump is a model for him and has gained notoriety after proposing to the emperor of Japan to be allowed to get to ensure the future of the male line.
The party appeared practically on YouTube during the Covid-19 pandemic period by disseminating the theories of the conspiracy related to vaccination and an alleged cabal of the global elites. “We were criticized as xenophobic and discriminatory. The public understood that the press was wrong and sled,” Kamiya said.
Only 3% of residents in Japan were born outside the country's borders, well under the percentages of Europe and the US. But last year it reached 3,800,000, a record number for the Japanese archipelago.
Donald Trump, a model assumed by Kamiya
Before entering politics, Kamiya was a supermarket and English teacher. He claims that he was inspired by the “bold political style” of US President Donald Trump. He made comparisons of his ideas with AFD from Germany and Reform UK of Nigel Farage, but the right -wing current has not yet taken root in Japan.
Kamiya intends to build smaller parties and will not collaborate with PLD, the party that led Japan throughout the post -war period. During the current campaign, Kamiya faced criticism after saying that gender equality policies are a mistake as they encourage women to work and stop making children.
