The fate of the Freezing Act is weighing. “The president will not sign her”

Just before the adoption of the Act (during the second reading), an amendment was made to the Act on freezing energy prices by the end of the year at the level of PLN 500 net per MWh (The current tariff for households, i.e. the market price, is PLN 622.8 net per MWh.) The frostic price is valid until the end of September, the difference between the tariff price and the freezed sellers pays the state.
Meanwhile, on the Towariowa Energy Exchange, basic Base contracts with delivery in the fourth quarter of 2025 were valued in the last month in the range of PLN 420-440 per MWh, so probably even without freezing the price would not increase significantly.
Kosiniak-Kamysz is in favor of wind energy
The head of the people during the conference in Łódź said that for PSL the renewable energy act is a “credo”. – Today we want to take a great step on cheap current, because it is not a matter of windmills, it is not a matter of renewable energy, it is a matter of cheap electricity. Poles want cheap electricity, companies want cheap electricity, otherwise we will not be competitive – said the deputy prime minister.
He emphasized that “the only chance that the electricity is cheap, it is to build windmills on land, because today the energy from windmills is the cheapest of all.” – This is a diversification of energy production. This is a biogospodaire based on the use of all products, a circulation enclosed in a biogocarry, not wasting any energy element, biomass, use of everything to make us cheap electricity. The goal of PSL is cheap electricity – he said.
He added that in his opinion “We should not direct this act to President Andrzej Duda, because she will not sign it” – he spoke very clearly, even during the National Security Council, so Let's wait for the new president and check his good will if he wants to freeze energy prices and whether he wants cheap electricity for residents for years, for Poles for years. This is a dilemma that we should set. This is a strategy that the government should accept, checking the good will of the new president-said Kosiniak-Kamysz. The five-year term of the presidenta-electaler Karol Nawrocki will start in August.
Andrzej Duda is not a supporter of windmills
President Duda, referring last week in The Hague to the question whether he would be open to the signing of the amendment to the windmill act, which would include an amendment on freezing energy prices He indicated that this is an attempt to force him to sign up for this act.

– I understand that, unfortunately, the prime minister and his colleagues, throwing such an amendment that is to protect Poles against increases in energy prices, simply tries to force me to sign with this windmill act, putting me against the wall, but he must remember that I am already finishing my second term – said the president.
– I am not personally a supporter of windmills. I am in favor of other types of renewable energy. I am not in favor of windmills on land. The landscape matters more for me than to watch standing windmills everywhere. You can agree with me, you can disagree with me; I said it equally loudly during the RBN, “said Andrzej Duda.

During the parliamentary work, provisions were also added to the system regarding the system of benefits for the inhabitants of the wind farms who would receive additional money, but no more than 20,000 in this respect. PLN per year for a given beneficiary.
