Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa: trade unionists start a collective dispute

The decision to enter into a collective dispute is a reaction to the limitation of the payment of bonuses on the occasion of Miner's Day and the St. Barbara's Day equivalent for 2025 to only 30%. due benefits.
Representatives of the JSW Federation of Miners' Trade Unions and the JSW Staff Trade Union expressed their dissatisfaction with the management's decision in an official statement. As they emphasize, the collective dispute was inevitable, and the limitation in payments is explained by the company's financial difficulties.

Unions announce fight
Trade unionists announce a long-term fight for full wages. On Friday, they submitted a letter to the JSW office informing about the commencement of the dispute, demanding the immediate suspension of the decision and commencement of negotiations in accordance with the Act on the resolution of collective disputes. The document also requested explanations regarding the legal basis for the decision.
The unions gave the management three business days to respond and start negotiations. They warned that failure to respond would result in an escalation of actions, including mediation and protests. A similar position was taken by the company's NSZZ “Solidarność” organization, which also opposes the management's decision. In a statement, trade unionists stressed that they expected the changes to be withdrawn and full payment of bonuses and compensation.
Additionally, they demanded access to full financial and decision-making documentation in this matter. In their opinion, the management board's decision violates internal labor law, including the collective agreement of March 2021, which obliges the employer to consult its wage policy with trade unions.
Over PLN 127 million
The JSW Management Board explains the limitation in payments due to the company's difficult financial situation in connection with the ongoing restructuring process.
