Russia has been secret on all statistics on demographics

What exactly disappeared from public access:

  • the population of Russia;
  • migration increase;
  • number of births and deaths;
  • migration within Russia;
  • Data about people who came to the country and countries of their origin;
  • Information about refugees, resettlers and people who received temporary shelter.

Other tables also disappeared, previously contained in the sections regarding the natural movement of the population, i.e. births, deaths, marriages and divorces. Some of this data ceased to be published in spring.

The last summary of Rosstat – for March 2025 – was published on May 16. However, almost two months have passed since then, and the data for April still has not appeared. For comparison: in 2024 the summary for April was published on June 7, in 2023 – June 9.
