ANM has issued warnings of yellow and orange storms, torrential rains, electric discharges and hail in several counties, valid on Saturday night.

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued, for Saturday night, severe weather warnings, with yellow and orange code, targeting heavy rains, frequent electric discharges, wind intensifications and hail, in several counties in the country.
According to meteorologists, the yellow storm code is valid until 7:00 pm and targets Sibiu county, in the localities: Sibiu, Cisnădie, Tălmaciu, Rășinari, Șelimbăr, Gura Râului, Racovița, Sadu and Poplaca.
In these areas, torrential showers will be reported with accumulations of 15-20 l/sqm, electric shocks, wind with intensifications that can reach 50-60 km/h, as well as hail with a diameter of about 0.5 cm.
Also, the meteorologists issued a severe orange code, valid until 7:00 pm, for the mountain area of Vâlcea county, which includes the localities of Călimănești, Brezoi, Perișani, Câineni, Băile Olănești, Boișoara, Voineasa, Malaia, Racovița and Titești.
In these mountain regions, there will be torrential showers that can accumulate 25-40 l/sqm, frequent electric discharges, wind intensifications that can exceed 70-80 km/h, as well as hail with dimensions between 2 and 4 cm.
Also on Saturday evening, until 18:00, the warning of yellow storm code is valid for localities in Gorj and Vâlcea counties, where torrential rains, strong wind and hail are announced.
In Gorj County, the localities are targeted: Bustuchin, Roşia de Amaradia, Prigoria, Polovragi, Bumbești-Pițic and Alimpești.
In Vâlcea county, the localities are targeted: Horezu, Berbești, Frâncești, Vaideeni, Alunu, Tomșani, Stoenești, Cernișoara, Costești, Bărbătești, Slătioara, Pietrari, Mateești, Popești, Păușești, Oteșani, Păileși, You are.
In these localities, meteorologists announce that 15-20 l/sqm torrential showers will be reported, electric shocks, wind intensifications with 50-60 km/h and hail with a diameter between 1 and 2 cm.
ANM recommends the population to avoid travel during severe phenomena, to secure its goods and to follow the weather updates for the targeted areas.
