Five people claim the highest state post, including the current head of state Alexander Lukashenko.
The remaining four candidates: Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party Oleg Gayukevich, representative of the Republican Labor Party Alexander Hizhnyak, a member of the Communist Party of Belarus Sergey Syrankov and non-Partyan Anna Kanopatskaya.
The candidate who received more than half of the votes who took part in the vote is considered the elect.
