The images captured by the surveillance cameras of the Local Police show how the group of teenagers, who were swinging on the pontoon, caused the structure to collapse.
The mayor criticizes the behavior of children
The mayor of Blevio, Alberto Cirbucchi, told the publication at Repubblica that the situation is serious, being about damages to public property. “I complained everything because it is about damages to public property. A repeated incident and high costs for repairs
In the past, there have been similar cases in Blevio. Last year, another pier was destroyed in the same way, and the repairs lasted one year. The structures on Lake Como are used to land the boats, which can stand for a maximum of two hours, as well as for loading and unloading. The first pier was destroyed in 2024, and its repair cost 50,000 euros.
The mayor of Crusci explained for the Italian press: “These structures are not designed to bear 50 people at the same time jumping on them, among others. Each time, the administration warns with indicators that define the permitted uses of landing. But they are often demolished.
