Microsoft announces great exemptions


According to The Verge, Microsoft will slow down as much as 9,100 people in various departments. Large reductions – although specific calculations have not yet been presented – will include, among others Xbox department, known as Microsoft Gaming.

Great exemptions were announced less than two months after Microsoft announced that it is reduced by full -time jobs, and then conduct an additional 305 reduction at the beginning of June. According to the findings of “The Verge”, Microsoft employees had to face a series of dismissals over the past year, including with a round of cuts based on results that seriously influenced morale.
Microsoft dismissed 1900 Activision Blizzard and Xbox employees in January 2024, and then closed several games in May and dismissed 1,000 people from Hololens and Azure clouds in June.
Microsoft also dismissed 650 more Xbox employees in September as part of the restructuring related to the takeover of Activision Blizzard. The King branch currently belonging to Microsoft, which produces the Candy Crush game, releases about 10 percent.or 200 people.

The boss of Xbox pointed out that he realizes that the changes occur when a record number of players, purchased games and hours spent on Microsoft gaming products are recorded.
