Television producer Dan Negru had a brief reaction on Wednesday night after the announcement made by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan on the fiscal package to enter into force, publishing a quote from Mahatma Gandhi, considered the father of modern India.

Mahatma Gandhi was a lawyer, politician, social activist and an Indian writer, considered the father of the independent Indian nation. On January 30, 1948, he was assassinated during a religious ceremony, by a Hindu fanatic. Gandhi was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize five times, between 1937 and 1948.

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced on Wednesday the fiscal package on reducing the budget deficit, for which the Government will take responsibility next week.

Among the measures stipulated are: pensions and salaries in the public sector will remain capped in 2026, VAT reassembly at two quotas, 11% and 21%, and increased excise duties and fuels.

At the low VAT rate will remain medicines, foods, public services, water and sewerage, water for irrigation, books, firewood, thermal energy. And in the Horecca industry, the proposal is for VAT to remain low. Another measure is the increase of excise duties by 10% for alcoholic beverages and fuels. At the same time, the excise duty for cigarettes will also increase.

Among the measures announced are: the application of the social health insurance contribution (CASS) to the pensions of over 3,000 lei, the increase of the didactic norm in two hours in the pre-university education, while the merit scholarships will be granted in a limited number, and the social ones, on criteria, notes Agerpres.

The package presented by the prime minister will be put in decision -making transparency during Thursday.
