Feigin was born in 1971 in Kuibyshev (now – Samara). He graduated from the Law Faculty of Samara State University, the Academy of the National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. Candidate of Law.
In his student years, he participated in the political life of Samara, was a member of the Party “Democratic Union”. In 1994-1995, he was a deputy of the State Duma of the I convocation. In 1997-2007 he was the vice-mayor of Samara. In the 1990s he received the status of a lawyer, but began to engage in lawyer practice in the 2000s.
Feigin gained wide fame as one of the lawyers of the Pussy Riot punk group. After the start of Russian aggression, he defended the interests of several well -known citizens of Ukraine, whom the Russian Federation held on its territory or against which criminal cases, including the leader of the Crimean Tatar people of Mustafa Dzhemillev, former pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, journalist Roman Suschenko, in absentia.
In 2018, Feigina in Russia was deprived of the status of a lawyer, in 2022-they were included in the list of “foreigners”, in 2023-they put on the wanted list, in 2024-at first they arrested in absentia in the case of “fakes” about the actions of Russian invaders in Ukraine, and then sentenced to 11 years of the colony.
Now the lawyer lives in France, is engaged in blogging, develops its YouTube channel “Feigin Live”, to which almost 2 million people have been signed.
