The deputy head of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Vadim Shamarin confessed to the bribe and concluded a “deal with the investigation.” He promised to hand over other corrupt officials in the military department. The court left him in jail.
According to Mash, he concluded a pre-trial agreement and testified to the former head of the 1st Directorate of the Main Communications Department (GUS) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Alexander Ogloblin.
Earlier, Shamarin and defense were asked to let him go from the pre-trial detention center and transfer it to house arrest due to Vadim's complaints about the conditions of detention.
Recall that Lieutenant General was detained for fraud at the public procurement. He received 36 million rubles from the general director and chief accountant of the Perm Telephone TETTA. For this, he was supposed to increase the purchase of the company's products with the money of the Ministry of Defense.
