Princess Diana died on August 31, 1997 as a result of a car accident. The driver of the car, in which she was traveling with her beloved Dodi al-Faedom, lost control when the car was pursued by photographers on motorcycles, and crashed into the tunnel wall in front of the Parisian Bridge of Alma on the Seine embankment.
