Powerful floods began in Central Russia because of the strongest thaw in 111 years – Media
The rivers in the west of the European part of the country overflowed three months earlier than usual. Everything is to blame – Warm weather and December snowfalls:
– In Bryansk, the Desna River flooded part of the embankment;
– In Ryazan, the eye was flooded with Lesopark;
– In Tver, Valdaika demolished the bridge in the Bologovsky district;
-In Voronezh, a bridge across the Don was closed from behind the flood.
The neighboring Orenburg region is under threat of flooding due to crowded reservoirs in the north of Kazakhstan. They can begin to throw water to Orsk. The risk zone also contains the Kurgan, Tyumen regions and part of the Omsk.
Excess water is dumped daily into turbines in volume 2 million 315 thousand m³.
