De Ligt has faced a challenging personal life recently, but it appears he has moved on. After ending his marriage just one year after tying the knot, he revealed that he is now in a relationship with model Amber Youssef.

The Manchester United star separated from his wife, Annekie Molenaar, last summer. The couple had married in May 2024, but their marriage ended abruptly after only a year.
Rumors surfaced about Amber being his new partner, especially after they were spotted during a vacation in Ibiza, Spain, sharing affectionate moments together.

The situation became controversial as some social media users shared screenshots of conversations suggesting Yussef was interested only in De Ligt’s fame and wealth. In response, the defender addressed these claims directly.
“I usually don’t respond to such stories, but this time it’s different. Nowadays, anything can be manipulated. The screenshots are not real. Amber and I are in the process of getting to know each other. And we want to spend this time peacefully,” De Ligt stated, according to chosun.com.
De Ligt continues to face difficulties on the football pitch as well, having undergone surgery last month for a back injury. This injury kept him out of the final squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
He has been with Manchester United since 2024, after transferring from Bayern Munich, and has previously played for Juventus and Ajax.
