“One of the biggest deficiencies”. The minister reacts

Poland will increase the production of ammunition five times because it tries to reduce dependence on imported weapons and protect against the Russian threat – said Minister Jaworowski.
In an interview with “FT”, Jaworowski said that the State Group PGZ “in the coming days” will receive PLN 2.4 billion of government funds to increase the production of large caliber ammunition and the solution to one of the most urgent defense deficiencies of Poland. As the daily emphasizes, the investment aims to increase the annual production of 155 mm artillery shells, which are used in howitzers in the NATO standard, and 120-mm tanks.
“Our goal in a short -term perspective is to significantly increase the domestic production of this type of weapon, as well as become independent of foreign supplies and build a durable base for national autonomy. This is one of our priorities” – emphasizes the minister in London's daily.
