The British police announced on Monday that it has opened an investigation into anti-Israeli scandals made by two rap, Bob Vylan and Kneecap, on Saturday, at the famous Glastonbury Music Festival, AFP reports.

“Following the examination of video images and sound during the concerts held by Bob Vylan and Kneecap at the Saturday Glastonbury Festival, I decided that additional investigations are needed and a criminal investigation is now in progress,” announced the Avon and Somerset police (southwest England).

During the concert of the Bob Vylan group, one of the two rappers chanted “death, dead IDF”, the acronym of Israeli defense forces, and urged the public to do the same.

And the rapper from Kneecap accused Israel of being a “war criminal” and asked the crowd to launch insults to the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

The United States revokes their visas

Also on Monday, the US authorities announced that they have withdrawn the visas of the two members of the British Punk-Punk-Group Vylan for the challenges during the Glastonbury festival, AFP reports.

According to the Secretary of Deputy State of Christopher Landau, the United States “revoked US visas of Bob Vylan group following their hate tirade from Glastonbury, including the fact that they attracted the public in death scandals.”

“Foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors in our country,” he added on the social network X.

The Kneecap and Bob Vylan troops – also present at the California Coachella Festival – had several concerts scheduled in the second part of this year.

The administration of President Donald Trump has revoked the visas of several people, mainly of students, who supported anti-Israeli activism in recent months.

The statements on the stage were condemned even by the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the festival organizers, while the BBC station said that he “regretted” that he did not stop the live broadcast of the two members of the Bob Vylan group.

This year's edition of the Glastonbury Festival has been carefully watched because of the controversial presence of another rap group, the North-Irish band Kneecap, in the context in which one of its three members, Liam O'hanna, known as the Mo Chara artistic pseudonym, was charged for the “terrorism” offense.
