The animal rights activists have accused Prince William and Princess Kate, the heir couple of Great Britain, of being “amazing for reality” because they have decided they want chickens from their dog, The Independent reports.

William celebrated his 43rd anniversary last Saturday with a photo with Spaniel Orla cocker and three of the four chicks he had last month.

The photograph, taken by Kate at Windsor on a sunny day in early June, was distributed by the Kensington Palace, accompanied by the message: “Happy Birthday! C, C, G, C, L, Orla and Chicks!”.

But the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal (PETA) organization, the most popular animal rights organization, criticized the Royal Family members because they “produced a new series” in full crisis of homeless animals.

Peta says William and Kate have contributed to the homeless animal problem

In a statement issued on Thursday, Elisa Allen, vice-president in the non-governmental organization, said:

“The prince and the princess of Wales should know that the shelters from here and around the world are full of dog chicks that despair after a second chance at a loving home and that producing a series of chickens in the middle of this crisis without a master is amazingly broken by reality.”

“If William wants to be a leader, he could take a lesson from King Charles and Regina Camilla, who chose to adopt from a shelter, instead of contributing to the problem,” she urged.

The King and Queen of Great Britain adopted a puppy named Moley from a shelter in February. The two did this a few months after Beth's death, their beloved Jack Russell puppy – and this being a saved dog.

Queen Camilla had adopted Beth in 2011 and another terrier named Bluebell in 2012, both from the same shelter she sponsors.

Peta, in his turn by “doctrinal fanaticism”

William and Kate instead have Orla in 2020, after their first dog, Lupo, a Cocker Spaniel died unexpectedly.

The criticisms formulated by Peta at the couple have attracted criticism on social networks.

Lady Colin Campbell, an author specialized in the British royal family, noted in a message distributed on the social network “X”:

“I see that the animal rights terrorists are again in action. Peta attacked the prince and princess of Wales for the boldness of multiplying their dog. They praise (rightly) the king and the queen because they saved dogs from the shelter of Battersea Dogs Home, but they condemn the dog, but they have a dog, but her brother's lover, to have chickens. “

She added:

“In which world we live … Doctrinal fanatics refuse to recognize that they do more harm than good when they try to intimidate people who make perfectly reasonable and acceptable choices.”
