In the face of the Iranian nuclear threat, Israel was seen as a pillar of region security, but after an attack on the Iran of the Persian Gulf, they are increasingly considered this country to be the most destabilizing strength in the Middle East – writes the British “Telegraph” on Thursday.

He described one of Arab diplomats with Tehran as “reckless unforgivable”.

Israel's prime minister “Benjamin Netanyahu gives the impression that nothing stopped him in the Gaza, Lebanon, Syria zone, and now also in Iran,” said one official, reserving anonymity.

The growing fears about the destabilizing role of Israel threaten the legacy of the so -called Abraham agreements, under which the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan normalized relations with Israel in the years 2020 and 2021. The Persian Gulf of the Gulf joined these agreements in part to create a united front against Iran.

The British daily estimates that Israel can paradoxically be considered the main source of instability in the region, displacing Iran in this role. The Persian Gulf countries are increasingly looking for a diplomatic solution in relations with Tehran, and Israel's exuberant military ambitions arouse anxiety among them.

“Israel is able to attack every country. Which would stop them from attacking a runny nose (where the political office of Hamas – PAP is located) or Qatar's interests, for example on deposits of gas shared with Iran?” Mohammed Baharoon, director of the B'Huth research institute from Dubai asked.

According to commentators, Israel currently has uncontrolled strength in the region, which is a threat to global order.

“I used to tell Israelis that we want to be partners in peace, but they wanted to be partners only in security issues. Now they are not partners even in this area and pose a threat to stability,” said “Telegraph” one of the interlocutors.

Within a few hours of the first Israeli attacks on Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia condemned the “glaring Israeli aggression against the fragrant Islamic Republic of Iran.” In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Oman Badr Albusaidi described the attack as “illegal” and “unjustified”.

Some officials from the Persian Gulf countries, however, admitted privately that Israel has already weakened the network of militias financed by Iran in the region and, effectively attacking the potential of the Iranian nuclear program, carried out the best possible scenario.

“Israel cleans the area for us. We must be a bit grateful for it,” said one of the officials.

In the past of the Gulf state, Washington called and Israel unofficially to carry out preventive attacks on Iran, but today the strategic calculation has changed, which was also written by “Washington Post” on Monday.

The United Arab Emirates did not protest in 2023, when diplomatic relations between Riyjad and Tehran were restored. Saudians, in turn, are against the military attack on Iran and do not support the change of regime in this country.

Many officials from the bay blame Israel for pulling the US into the war, fearing that this may provoke Iran to retaliate at American military bases, energy infrastructure or civilians in the region, as in the case of Monday's Iran rocket attack on the American Al Ugiid base in Katar.

As emphasized by “Wall Street Journal” on Saturday, despite the joint fear of Iran, the Persian Gulf countries are afraid of caught a large -scale conflict, destruction and economic consequences, reminiscent of trauma from the war in Iraq. (PAP)
