A wooden warehouse caught fire after being hit by lightning. Four pigs and a dog were saved

A wooden household annex was filled with a fire, on Friday, June 27, after being hit by lightning. The incident took place in Bălăceana commune in Suceava.

The fire broke out on Friday in the village of Bălăceana, the specialists from the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Suceava stating that the fire was generated by a lightning bolt that hit a wooden store.
“The construction, majority of wood, was affected on an area of approximately 100 square meters, with fodder and other goods stored inside. The rest of the household buildings, but also four pigs and a puppy were saved“, Succeava said.
The institution stated that no victims were recorded following the fire.
Due to the storm, also in Suceava, the roof of a block was torn by the wind. The piece of sheet also fell on the house of some locals. Fortunately, no one was injured, writes ProTV.
