In the United States executed a man who has been in the cell cell since 1976

The agency described Jordan as a war veteran in Vietnam with a post -traumatic stress disorder (PTSR), in the suicide cell he was for the abduction of a woman for the purpose of buying and killing her.

They executed an American with a deadly injection. Before that, the US Supreme Court rejected its next appeal.

Before his death, Jordan thanked for the humane way of execution and apologized to the family of the woman who had killed him, and also thanked his lawyers and his wife, who were present during the execution.

According to the investigation, in 1976, Jordan abducted the mother of three children Edwin Marter, took her to the forest and shot her, after which he called her husband, said that the woman was safe, and demanded $ 25 thousand.

Jordan’s defense appealed to his service in Vietnam, claiming that the factor of the crime could become the PTSR of the prisoner, but this argument was rejected as not related to the murder.

The execution of Jordan has become the third in Mississippi over the past 10 years, the previous execution was in this state in December 2022.
