Nicușor Bancu (32 years old), the captain of Craiova University, has expressed his desire to leave the Oltean team this summer, feeling that now it is the right time to take a transfer abroad.
Bancu is the oldest player in Mirel Rădoi's group, who has been evolving in white-blue since July 2014, since he came from FC Olt, in the first season since the promotion of Oltenians in the first step.
During the Mercato break this summer, Bancu is considering transferring if a good enough offer comes. He knows that this could be one of his last “trains” to catch for a move abroad, considering that in the fall he will turn 33.

Nicușor Bancu, with the thought of leaving Craiova
“If I stay here, I certainly wait for the new season. If not, we see what my future reserves. The transfer period is long. I hope something can be solved. I am with an open heart, and if I stay here, I will stay with great pleasure.
No matter where I would like to go. Somewhere to be well for my family. At my age, I have to go somewhere to win well because I have very little to play. It's hard to take the example of Mitriță and take the money he takes. He is an attacker and the attackers are paid much better.
I think it would be time for a transfer. If it doesn't happen now … it's probably the last train. I want to take my whole heart. Many have left and I would like to see what it is like. From what I know, leadership understands me and is with me. Now, let's see what will happen. Offers? We will see, I cannot say more, ”said Nicușor Bancu, quoted by Sport.ro.

Nicușor Bancu has a contract with Craiova University for another three years, but he has received promises from the management that he will be left to leave this summer if he receives a satisfactory offer.
Including Mirel Rădoi, the coach of the Oltenians, declared in May, at the end of last season, that he will ask the heads of the University to let Bancu leave, if this opportunity arises.
I thought the strategy during the season, I started with an evaluation of the important, potentially sold players. Among them are Mitriță, Baiaram, Screciu, even Nicu.
And he may be upset about me, but if a very good offer comes to him, I hope the shareholders will give in to my pressures to leave it [să plece] Free of contract, because he is a player who has done his duty to the University of Craiova with a peak and thick.
After this life the athletes have, another life follows. If they fail to collect a large amount of money … we still have a life to live.
After we finish with sport, we have another 40 years to live, in which many people depend on us. That they are children, parents, that he is a wife, that they are brothers. We need to think about them, no matter how selfish we would like to be the club and supporters
– Mirel Rădoi, in May, about a possible departure by Bancu
I'm not going to talk about the title again. We are talking about so many years and at the end of the season, something happens and we clap. For the first time, let's be well all, to be healthy and take each match. Everyone wants to have as long as possible in Europe. We hope that together with mystery to achieve what we propose
