The yellow code of heat, extended by meteorologists. High temperatures in over three quarters of the country

Meteorologists issued, on Tuesday, new yellow code warnings, which target, until Thursday morning, over three quarters in the country.

According to meteorologists, between June 24, at 10:00-June 25, at 10:00, a first yellow code of hot weather in Banat, Oltenia, Muntenia, in the south of Moldova, in the southwest of Transylvania and most of Dobrogea will be valid. On relatively extensive areas, maximum temperatures will generally register between 34 and 38 degrees. The thermal discomfort will be high, and the temperature-humidity index (ITU) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. According to AGERPRES.

Also, the night will be warm, with minimum temperatures that will oscillate between 17 and 20 degrees.

The counties affected by this yellow code are: Alba, Argeș, Brăila, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Galați, Giurgiu, Hunedoara, Ilfov, Ialomița, Mehedinți, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Tulcea, Tulcea

Between June 25, at 10:00 – June 26, at 10:00, a second yellow heat code will target most areas. Thus, it will be the heat and thermal discomfort accentuated in Banat, Crișana, Oltenia, Muntenia, in the south of Moldova, in the continental Dobrogea and most of Transylvania.

In these areas, ITU will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units, and the maximum temperatures will be between 34 and 38 degrees, while the minimums will be between 17 and 24 degrees, characterizing a tropical night in the south and west of the country.

The second yellow code of particularly hot weather will be in force in the following counties: Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Braila, Brașov, Buzău, Cluj, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Galati, Galati Maramureș, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Tulcea, Timiș, Teleorman, Vâlcea, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Meteorologists specify that on Thursday, June 26, the heat and thermal discomfort will intensify.
