During the Sunday conversation with the President of France Emmanuel Macron, the President of Iran Masud Pezeszkian announced the response to the US attacks conducted at night from Saturday to Sunday nuclear facilities in his country – said the AFP agency.

“Americans must receive a response to their aggression,” said the Iranian leader, quoted by the French and Iranian media. The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Iran Esmaeil Baqaei, in turn, stated that Tehran is ready to defend himself with “all available means.”
“Iran is determined to defend his sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and his people,” he wrote on the platform X Baqaei. The US attack on Iran described “atomically armed from the state without nuclear weapons.”
Ali Szamkhani, an Iranian adviser to the spiritual leader of Ayatollah Ali Chamenei, wrote on X that “even if it was possible to completely destroy nuclear objects (Iran), it would not mean that it is over.” He added that “materials enriched (uranium) remain intact”
Rubio: If Iran tries to obtain nuclear weapons, this will be the end of the regime
If Iran decides to become a nuclear power, I think it will mean the end of the regime – said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Fox Business television on Sunday. He estimated that President Donald Trump showed Tehran and others that “it was impossible to play”.
In this interview Rubio – like before, vice president of Jdvance – argued that the USA is not in the war with Iran and do not want her, and Washington's goal is not to change the regime in Tehran. He threatened, however, that if Iran decides to retaliate, it would be “the biggest mistake they have ever made”, and if they continue to strive to acquire nuclear weapons, it would mean the end of the regime.
“In the end, if Iran is determined to become a nuclear power, I think it exposes the risk regime. I really think it would be the end of the regime if they tried to do it,” said the head of diplomacy and the US national security advisor. He noted that Iran does not control his own airspace and “he is not able to even protect his leaders.”
Rubio also assessed that the great mistake and economic suicide for Iran would be to block the Strait of the ORMUZ for oil transport; He also noted that such a move would hurt other countries – especially China – much more than the USA.
“I encourage the government in Beijing to call them in this matter, because they are largely addicted to the Strait of Ormuz in the matter of oil. If (Iranians) they do it, it will be another terrible mistake,” he said. “I think it would be a huge escalation that would deserve an answer, not only on our part, but also to others. But they will say what they have to say. (…) There are things that must happen because of their own internal policy and so on. But ultimately we will assess them after actions that they will take in the future” – he added.
Rubio claimed that Trump decided to bomb Iranian nuclear objects, because the Iranians “tried to play him”, simulating the desire to negotiate seriously.
“They thought that they could do what they did with the presidents in the past with President Trump in the past, and that they would get away dry. And yesterday evening they learned that they could not” – said Rubio. “The whole world learned yesterday evening that he can't – and this is important, not only in this matter, but in the case of many other problems happening around the world. We see that this is the president who says what he intends to do, and then he does it. And I think that for many people, including the Iranian regime, it is shocking” – he emphasized.
