The wrong shade of the foundation can make the face too light, yellow or dark. To avoid the “mask effect”, you need to take into account several points when choosing a product. They were told about them by the marketer of the beauty brands in his Zen blog “Beauty and leaving” (12+).
First of all, you need to determine the skin of the skin. It occurs three subtypes:
- Warm – golden or yellowish;
- Cold – pinkish or with a bluish tint;
- Neutral – a combination of warm and cold shades.
You can determine the underground as follows:
- Look at the veins on the wrist. Blue or purple – cold underground, greenish – warm, and if difficult to understand – neutral.
- Decorations. Gold looks better on warm skin, silver on the cold.
- The reaction in the sun. If the skin quickly sunbathes, the subton is warm, if it is burned – cold.
The main advice: For the foundation to look natural, it must merge with the skin. Try it on the jaw line, and not on the hand – there the skin shade may vary. Be sure to evaluate the result in daylight.
“Do not forget that tonal creams can change the shade after application – this process is called oxidation. The tone usually darkens, so if you choose between two shades, choose the one that is lighter,” the author of the blog writes.
Bonus life hack: If the cream gets very dark, try using a primer – it will create a barrier between skin and cosmetics, and reduce the effect of oxidation.
