Increases for commune heads and mayors. New maximum rates


The prepared document, published in the list of legislative works of the Council of Ministers, announces changes in the regulations regarding the remuneration of local government employees. According to the project, the maximum limits of basic salary rates and functional allowances are to be raised. As emphasized, the goal is adaptation of local government salaries to current economic realitieswhile ensuring that none of the benefits exceed the limit set in the regulations.
As explained in the project documentation, remuneration, including special allowances, They will not be able to exceed the threshold of 21 thousand. PLN 43 57 gr. The limit was determined on the basis of the Act on local government employees, which provides that the total amount may not be higher than 11.2 times the base amount set out in the state budget, amounting to 1,000 in 2025. 878 PLN 89 gr.

The proposed changes will include also employees employed on the basis of a vocation. This group will include Treasures of local government units and deputy mayors and mayors. For them, as for other officials covered by the regulations, the increase in maximum rates is to amount to about 5 percent.
